Il veut juste une maison où vivre!

Morgan was an archeologist who studied many famous sites around the world, such as Stonehenge and several Egyptian pyramids. His most telling failure as an archeologist was when he was visiting Susa, Iran. During this time, he had felt like no current form of housing was “to his standards” and as such hired workers to tear down parts of the 5,000-year-old city and build what is now known as Sush Castle (Château de Suse). His ego and superiority complex lands him a wonderful spot in this compendium.

Morgan's book of focus, “Delegation En Perse”, is about his time in the Iranian town of Susa, also known as "sush". It is during this time that Morgan's well-known little slip-up occured. Upon arriving in Susa, Morgan decided that the lowly hovels that were in this town were not up to his standard of accomodations. Therefore, he commanded several builders to destroy and recycle parts of the very town he was meant to research, which happened to be ~5,000 years old, in order to build what is now known as Château de Suse (Sush Castle, in English).

Even today, few speak of Morgan's blunders. Most discussions of his work are seen in a positive light, with his written works even being considered incredibly important in the study of Susa's ruins. While he may have a king-sized ego, and a tendancy to destroy what he deems unimportant, his work was, in fact, top-notch, and as such, he still remains well-regarded. A narcissistic, well-informed fool he may be, but a fool nonetheless.
